A nightmare day on our roads ended with the tragic death of an elderly woman motorist on the M1 which led to rush hour traffic chaos and delays for thousands of people. The woman died when a vehicle hit a tree after being involved in a six-car collision on the westbound carriageway of the motorway between Moira and Lurgan at around 5.30pm.
